We are excited to announce the upcoming Chad Dempsey Memorial Run, a special fundraising event dedicated to celebrating the life and legacy of Chad Dempsey. This event will support the Chad Dempsey Scholarship Fund, which awards $2,500 scholarships to four deserving band students from Edinburg High School, Edinburg North High School, Economedes High School, and Robert Vela High School.

Chad Dempsey was an avid runner who competed in numerous full and half marathons, demonstrating the same dedication and perseverance in his athletic pursuits as he did in his professional and personal life. His wife, Sonia Dempsey de Sepulveda, was a collegiate runner and former state champion long-distance runner. This event not only honors Chad’s legacy in music education but also celebrates the Dempsey family’s passion for running.
