Chad Dempsey was a beacon of inspiration in the world of music education. He dedicated his life to nurturing the musical talents of countless students at Edinburg North High School and throughout the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District (ECISD). With his passion for both music and teaching, Chad instilled not only technical proficiency but also an appreciation for the beauty and power of music in his students and colleagues. Known for his unwavering dedication, positive energy, patience, and encouragement, Chad fostered an inclusive and supportive environment where students felt inspired to explore their creativity and express themselves through music.
The Chad Dempsey Inspire Memorial Scholarship aims to honor Chad’s legacy by empowering and uplifting the next generation of leaders. This scholarship is designed to support graduating seniors from ECISD high schools who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to their musical and marching arts education
Scholarship Details
- Scholarship Value: Determined by donations collected by the award date (minimum one-time $500)
- Awards Available: 4 scholarships awarded (one to each ECISD high school: Edinburg High School, Edinburg North High School, Economedes High School, and Robert Vela High School)
Applicant Criteria
- Eligibility: Applicants must be ECISD Band/Marching Arts high school seniors enrolled at a college/university for the Fall of 2024 at the time of submitting the application.
- Application Requirements: Complete the application and upload any required documentation (if applicable).
